Andrea Hopkins, Art DirectorAndrea joined the design team at Cheney and Company in 2000, bringing
with her more than 20 years of professional experience in design
for print and electronic media—including corporate identity
suites, web and software interface, print and electronic marketing
materials, and technical documentation and training materials.
She also has extensive experience in the development of marketing
strategy and project management. Prior to moving to Connecticut, Andrea was a designer with Windsor Street Design Associates of Rochester, NY, where her clients included Xerox, Kodak and IEEE. Andrea also worked as a technical illustrator with Product Launch Solutions (with clients including Hewlett-Packard, Xerox and Bausch & Lomb) and as a draftsman/CAD operator for Holotek, both of Rochester, NY. Andrea’s educational background includes study in English and music at New York University and drafting and design at Monroe Community College in Rochester, NY. In addition, she undertook a two-year independent study project in Latin America focusing on textile arts in Native American cultures from Mexico to Bolivia. In her leisure time, Andrea is an active volunteer at her town library. She serves on the boards of the Madison Land Conservation Trust and the Rockland Preserve.
