Connecticut Collaboration for Fall Prevention
Publicizing prevention
Background Research
clinicians at the Yale Medical School studied fall
prevention among the elderly for more than a decade, seeking
to gauge the economic consequences of falls and to prove that
falls are preventable. Cheney & Company was consulted to
provide branding for the fall prevention program and to create
collateral publications and posters aimed at improving recognition
of fall risk factors and prevention strategies among care providers
and at-risk older adults and their families.
Project
brief Cheney & Company
wrote and designed a comprehensive suite of materials that
included brochures for clinicians and the general public; a
set of posters for placement in strategic locations; a unique passbook designed
to help at-risk patients; a media kit and labels, stickers
and buttons; hypotension and medications brochures.
