Navigating to the Future

Background    The U.S. Coast Guard Academy wished to increase its visibility and stature with Congressional funders, leaders at the Coast Guard, alumni and others, who had been provided with voluminous, impenetrable data on a yearly basis in the past.

Project brief    Cheney & Company helped the senior management team shape the theme and concept for a quick-reading, highlighted annual report for this purpose. Focusing on selected key accomplishments and programs, the new, more highly produced annual report was designed to provide a measure of accountability to key stakeholders; build pride for programs, activities and outcomes; gain support and visibility for the academy; and attract qualified candidates for the program. We have worked on two editions since.
