Background   A small agency with big results (it’s the largest source of non-tax federal income), MMS has a great story to tell. Its legally required reporting, however, is a daunting document many pages thick. It needed a piece that was accessible and engaging for its stakeholders, including Congress and the general public.

Project Brief   On three consecutive annual reports, we honed in on the accomplishments, facts and human interest stories that bring the agency’s important but highly technical work to life for the layperson. The piece emphasizes natural photography and evocative factoids to cement the connection between MMS efforts and the popular national and state programs they benefit.
