FROM HARTFORD, SOUTH ON I-91Take I-91 south to exit 8 (Middletown Avenue). Turn right at the bottom of the ramp and go 0.4 miles on Middletown Avenue (west on Route 80). Turn left onto Clinton Avenue and go to its end at Grand Avenue. Turn left onto Grand Avenue and go to the intersection at Front Street. On the right corner is a yellow brick building — that’s Cheney & Company. Turn right onto Front Street, and turn right into the parking lot. Come to the back door and ring bell. FROM FAIRFIELD, NORTHBOUND ON I-95Take I-95 north to exit 48 for I-91 north. Get off I-91 at exit 8 (Middletown Avenue). Turn left at the bottom of the ramp and go 0.7 miles on Middletown Avenue (west on Route 80). Turn left onto Clinton Avenue and go to its end at Grand Avenue. Turn left onto Grand Avenue and go to the intersection at Front Street. On the right corner is a yellow brick building — that’s Cheney & Company. Turn right onto Front Street, and turn right into the parking lot. Come to the back door and ring bell. FROM NEW LONDON, SOUTH ON I-95Take I-95 south to exit 51 (Route 1, Frontage Road, Lighthouse Point). Get into the right lane and follow Route 1 South. Proceed through the first light to the second light at the intersection of Forbes Avenue and Woodward. Turn right onto Woodward. At the STOP sign at Woodward and Townsend, cross Townsend straight onto Quinnipiac Avenue. Follow Quinnipiac for 1.1 miles. At the light at the corner of Quinnipiac and (East) Grand Avenue, turn left onto the turnbridge and cross the river. Across from the end of the bridge is a large yellow brick building — that’s Cheney & Company. Turn left onto Front Street, and turn right into the parking lot. Come to the back door and ring bell. FROM THE CENTER OF NEW HAVENDrive east on Elm Street (with the New Haven Green on your right). At the intersection of Elm and State, cross over State Street onto Grand Avenue. Follow Grand Avenue for 1.7 miles to the Quinnipiac River at Front Street. Do not cross the turnbridge. Cheney & Company is at 20 Grand Avenue, a large yellow brick building on the right. Turn right onto Front Street, and turn right into the parking lot. Come to the back door and ring bell. OR Drive east on Chapel Street (with the New Haven Green on your left). Stay on Chapel for 1.8 miles to its very end, where it turns left onto Front Street at the Quinnipiac River. Follow Front almost to the first light, but turn left into the parking lot behind the large yellow brick building — that’s Cheney & Company. Come to the back door and ring bell. |
